La commune de Siby a réussi le pari de la mobilisation avec la présence de dix membres du Gouvernement à la faveur de la célébration couplée de la journée mondiale de l’alimentation JMA et la journée internationale de la femme rurale JIFR Édition 2024.
Le thème de la JMA est « le droit aux aliments au service d’une vie et d’un avenir meilleurs. Ne laisser personne se côté ». La JIFR est placée sous le thème « le rôle et la place de la femme rurale dans la construction d’un Mali nouveau. Le thème prouve à suffisance l’impact hautement positif de la femme rurale pour une nation stable, prospère et émergent. Ces femmes battantes constituent 30% de la main d’œuvre rurale. C’est pourquoi, dans leurs discours le Président de l’APCAM M. Bouya Sanoussi SYLLA, le Ministre de la promotion de la femme, de l’enfant et de la famille, COULIBALY Mariam MAÏGA et le Ministre de l’Agriculture M. Daniel Siméon KELEMA, ont salué les efforts inlassables des femmes rurales du Mali, et également précisé que l’amélioration de leurs conditions de vie est une priorité des plus hautes autorités du pays. Les préoccupations évoquées ici sont relatives à l’accès aux crédits et aux marchés afin de tirer le meilleur profit des activités agricoles et de contribuer de façon significative à l’économie nationale et à l’émergence d’une nation de nos rêves. Cette célébration offre également l’occasion de renouveler les engagements pour la promotion des objectifs de développement durable par l’adoption de stratégies plus résilientes face aux défis du changement climatique. Cela a été rappelé par le Ministre de l’Agriculture M. Daniel Siméon KELEMA, en présence des partenaires dont la FAO. L’événement a été marqué par une donation de matériels de travail, d’équipements et de semences améliorés au profit de plusieurs associations féminines de la fédération nationale des femmes rurales du Mali. Autres temps forts, la remise des attentes et la visite des stands et du périmètre maraîcher de la société coopérative Benkadi de Kamalé Kakalé.
